New Year's Resolution

One of my resolutions was to watch 100 new (to me) films over the course of the year. I stole the idea I must admit, but I'm okay with that. My first film was An Education, and it was wonderful. It's set in London in 1961, so obviously every aspect was visually stimulating. That's not to say that the visual aspect is the only satisfactory one of this film: It's extremely well written and acted also. I'm not going to write a summary of it (that's what the link is for) because I am no longer in college and feel the need to examine works in such detail. Maybe at some point I will change my mind, but I've been out of school for less than a year and it is way too soon for this gal. This image is from one of my favorite scenes in the film when Carey Mulligan and Peter Sarsgaard go to Paris. I feel like there may be a Carey Mulligan obsession brewing, she is so cute it's unreal. I can't wait until I can watch her new film Never Let Me Go. Ta ta for now.
